Role Objective

Kannu Ki Chai is one of India's fastest-growing QSR brands, operating through company-owned and franchise outlets across multiple cities. We are seeking a highly analytical, commercially driven, and result-oriented Accounts Head to lead the Finance & Accounts function from our KKC Head Office, JM Road, Deccan, Pune.

The role is responsible for driving financial governance, ensuring statutory compliance, strengthening internal controls, and delivering accurate financial reporting to support strategic business decisions. The Accounts Head will oversee end-to-end accounting operations, budgeting, cash flow management, outlet revenue controls, inventory accounting, payroll coordination, audit management, and financial process improvements while supporting business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Finance & Accounts function across the Head Office, warehouses, and multiple QSR outlets.

  • Manage end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, and timely month-end/year-end book closures.

  • Prepare and present MIS, Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, outlet-wise profitability reports, and business performance reports.

  • Ensure financial accuracy through robust accounting practices, reconciliations, and internal financial controls.

  • Implement and strengthen financial controls, SOPs, approval processes, and governance frameworks.

  • Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and all other statutory regulations.

  • Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and government authorities for statutory and financial compliance.

  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, variance analysis, and cost control initiatives.

  • Monitor outlet-wise sales reconciliation, cash management, POS transactions, and online aggregator settlements.

  • Oversee inventory accounting, stock valuation, warehouse accounting, material consumption, wastage analysis, and inventory controls.

  • Manage vendor reconciliations, payment processing, banking operations, cash flow, and working capital.

  • Coordinate payroll finance activities with the HR department, including attendance reconciliation and salary processing.

  • Lead internal, statutory, financial, stock, and operational audits while ensuring audit readiness.

  • Strengthen ERP utilization, accounting systems, POS integration, automation, and financial process improvements.

  • Provide financial analysis, business insights, and strategic recommendations to support management decisions and business growth.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts team to ensure productivity, accuracy, and timely completion of departmental responsibilities.

Job Requirement


Eligibility

  • CA / CMA (Preferred), MBA (Finance), M.Com, or B.Com.

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.

  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in the QSR, Retail, Hospitality, or Food & Beverage industry.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role.

  • Experience in managing finance operations for multi-unit or multi-location businesses is highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, statutory compliance, audits, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Preferred Age: Up to 40 years.
